    American Wheat

So I brewed this one as I originally posted. Drinking one now after bottling 2 weeks ago. I’m unsure on the honey malt. I think I leaning toward not a fan, as I’m getting a lingering honey/sweet aftertaste that I don’t think Is the best. But overall the beer is good. Brew mentor I like your...

    American Wheat

Thoughts on a “honey lemon” wheat beer? Going to brew tomorrow and looking for any suggestions. Most concerned on the honey malt. I’ve read a lot that some use a little and say its overpowering and some use a lot and it’s just fine. 2.5 pounds 2 row 52% 2 pounds white wheat 42% .3 pounds honey...

    “Belgian Wit” recipe

I want to start by saying with this recipe, I am not worried about staying true to style. Just trying something. Do a Belgian Wit without any zest or spices. Porter feedback

Interesting... I have an American Lager fermenting right now at 60 degrees using 34/70 (my first time using this yeast). Depending how it turns out, that for sure is intriguing to use with a porter recipe.... let me know how yours turns out!

One thing I forgot too. When I brewed the first one I only had 4 pounds MO, but had extra golden promise. So Base was actually 4 pounds MO and .5 pounds GP. But I’m not sure if that makes a big difference or not.

I thought it was too sweet and more chocolate flavor than I wanted, a little heavy on the body. My original grain bill was. 4.5 lbs marris otter .75 brown malt .5 caramel 90 .3 chocolate and I I had the same hop schedule as above, but last time had cascade instead of the northern brewer...
