    Cheap DIPA?

I've been buying ingredients in Bulk especially whenever I'm making NEIPA's or anything hoppy. Usually I'll buy a pound of each hop that I'll need and I can use those for about four 5 gallon batches before I'm out. Yakima Valley Hops or more beer will have deals where I have gotten hops for...

    A bet NE IPA

I'm on my 4th batch of this recipe and only changed the hops slightly. The whirlpool has stayed the same, however I did change maybe a hop or two for the dry hop. I also have pictures posted in the recipe so you can see how it comes out...

Wanted to show progress of the Recirc port install. I also tore down the mash tun to clean the valve and fittings, etc. I also replaced the old red gasket with a clear silicone one for a cleaner look. Here's the temperature probe T. I made it so that I can move it around in the system for...

Repurposed the first kettle I ever bought. Took me some time to figure out what size and brand it was however I finally found it. When I first started all grain, I thought I would do more 10 gallon batches however 7 years later, I've done maybe a handful of them. So, I initially purchased a...

    Fermenter/Kettle and Efficiency

Sorry, I should have clarified. The kettle efficiency is correct, but the brewhouse went from 72% to 68%.

    Fermenter/Kettle and Efficiency

This information is going to be super helpful. I've been putting it to fermenter because I'm aiming for a particular amount in the fermenter and there are times I leave trub behind and I would get annoyed when I hit my volumes but the efficiency went down because of the loss between kettle and...

Why does my beer taste 'Soapy'??

I've only had one batch turn out like that, it was a Honey Kolsch that I was planning on serving at my Jack and Jill. Everything seemed fine, however after fermentation is tasty unbelievably soapy/chlorine like. I didn't taste it before fermentation, however afterwards it smelled just like a...

    Custom Brew Steps

Is there anyway to get it to read what the Expected Kettle Volume should be at the end of the boil? I know I can make a brew log entry, click on Boil complete and it gives me the amount there...anyway It can be incorporated in the brew steps?

Are you talking about the Pre-Boil Gravity Estimate on the Recipe Screen?

    Whirlpooling and no krausen?

I haven't had that happen to me yet and I've been whirlpooling for 3 years so far. Currently my keggle's dip tube is only a half inch above the bottom center and I get all into the fermenter besides maybe a half cup to a pint. I'm debating if I should reconfigure it to pick up from the side so...

    Yeast wash

I just made my first Oktoberfest and since I plan on doing other lagers, I didn't want to pour the trub and yeast down the drain. I've been trying to figure out what I'd like to do in order to save the yeast for another brew day. I've never saved yeast and always bought a new pack. However...

    Starter from batch's wort?

A couple years ago a local brew pub made a starter out of their pre-boil wort. I thought that was a great idea till I realized that you're throwing yeast into non-sanitized (not boiled) wort.
