    Sexual harrassment in the breweries

Not about you Sunfire. I don’t condone harassment. Oh, and if someone thinks they suffer from privilege, maybe they should cancel themselves.

    Sexual harrassment in the breweries

Just noticed this thread. This was a reasonable home brew forum at one time. Now, all too often, it’s overcome with wokeness, cancel culture and virtue signaling.

    Guidelines for hop biotransformation

Even with high flocculating English yeast the English Bitter would likely be hazy and not to style. There is a beer called Mac & Jack’s African Amber that likely uses BT to haze that beer. Looks dreadful and tastes okay. I think of BT in the context of making a hazy beer. Maybe a hoppy wheat...

    Guidelines for hop biotransformation

This is a vast subject with many unknowns, variables and opinions. I’m very interested in what others offer here as well. Much depends on the goal of the brew. Is it haziness, hop flavor, NEIPA style, WCIPA style, BT in non IPA beers like pales, ambers, blondes, etc. I brew mostly IPAs and...

    Cellar Science Yeasts

I’ve used it a few times since switching back to dry yeast. Used it in a Session IPA yesterday. I suggested they kick it up to 14 or 15 grams.

One of our pub mates would always say that if we ordered a hazy beer. In other words, yer horse has a bladder infection...

What are you drinking right now?

Taste Test. My Amber vs Full Sail Amber. Color and clarity is spot on. Mine is a teensy tiny bit sweeter and more carb. FS finished a little thinner and has a slight funky hop presence and maybe a more mineral water profile. Both are fantastic and I’m stoked about the results. :D:D:D Cheers.

What are you drinking right now?

Targeting Full Sail Amber on this American Amber. Will do a side by side soon. Good amount of wheat, so not sure how clear it will get. Cheers.

What are you drinking right now?

Checking in on the ham and beans in the old (and I mean old) crock pot. Time for a short pull on the Scottish ale. Done working for the day.

What are you drinking right now?

So is that beer a NEIPA style? Looks like it. If so El Dorado is a go-to for that style. Why not just brew it yourself? Maybe the brewer at Henhouse can give you some pointers. Have Guy come in and taste it with you...:) lol Cheers.

What are you drinking right now?

Looks great! I like the low color on that style. I haven’t tried Belma yet. Maybe pair it with Cascade, or a small amount of Azacca. Centennial sounds good. I think Chinook would take it a piney direction. Cheers.

What are you drinking right now?

Letting it settle out over time helps clarity for sure. Calcium in the mash and a whirlflock tablet in the kettle also helps. Other than that, trying to get good conversion of proteins in the mash. I’ve seen a lot of Craft beer at the pubs lately that isn’t clear.
