UPDATE: Grainfather Equipment Profile dialed in

I have the 240 volt version in Oz. Will these numbers correspond d'ya reckon? I'm still a grain noob weeks from trying my first batch and figuring out what all that stuff means exactly so cant experiment for myself yet. Can I plug and play your numbers?

    General purpose malted grain.

Fair enough. Was what I was hoping for. Not enough difference to worry about especially as I'm a newbie. My stuff ups will probably cover up any difference as I'm learning. I'm pretty sure my hbs I use has plenty of weyermann (hopefully pronounced ok) but not sure about marris otter? Will have...

    General purpose malted grain.

I'll pick up a roller mill from the hbs while I'm there so getting my shopping list so crushing shouldn't be an issue. I brew probably once a month, sometimes a double batch, at least I did when I did kit and kilo brewing. I expect it to remain fairly consistent so will need a way to prepare...

    General purpose malted grain.

Hi. New guy to all grain and the forum so please be gentle and talk sloooowly! :-) I've included a list of ingredients to the post which requires a couple of different grains. 4 require 2 row pale ale (UK and usa) and one a pilsener malt. Is there a malt I can buy which will cover those fairly...

Add ingredient to shopping list not working?

I did it with a couple of other recipes so I don't think so. I'm only trial so I can test out brewers friend over a couple of all grain brews. If it works as well as I hope I'll probably just get the lifetime membership. I expect to be brewing for a long time yet.

Got these for now. Will stock up on the stuff recipes ask for when I pick up the grain.

    New guy.

I'll pick up a crusher for the grain that can do .5mm. I've heard that's pretty optimum for the grainfather. I do all my brewing in a fridge that can hold 2 x 30 liter fermenters and is controlled by an stc1000. I learnt fast that hot weather makes beer that tastes a bit like fruit salad. I'm...

Add ingredient to shopping list not working?

I've been trying to add some ingredients from a recipe to my shopping list for a few days but it keeps coming up with an error saying admin has been notified. Any idea what's going on or how long to fix or is it just me?

    New guy.

Lol. Maybe you don't get how remote. The nearest town is one and a half hours away and I'm pretty sure the locals aren't allowed to drink there. No brew clubs anywhere nearby and I'm moving back to Perth in January so not much point starting one. Kalgoorlie is 3.5 to 4 hours but the shops aren't...

    New guy.

We have aus post but shipping 60 kgs of rice, 50 kg of grain, 100+ kgs of canned good and another 100 of sugar and all the other stuff would start to get expensive. I drive a landcruiser 105 and its loaded to the gills when I drive back from Perth.

Thanks mate. Hail from the goldfields in wa for now. My local hbs is brewmart in perth. Been going for a while and know the owner fairly well. Will get a few recipes together and get the little bits and pieces together like crystal malts and hops in one big buy along with the malt. Cart it all...

    New guy.

Howdy. Aussie who's always done coopers extract brew cans here. I just picked up a mint grainfather for a ripper price so I can start some brews and pop my all grain cherry. Hope to pick up a 25kg bag of 2 or 6 row pale ale malt and start brewing. Joined the forum so I can hopefully absorb some...
