When do you drink your home brew

There are times I could have a porter for breakfast but that's frowned upon. So evenings are best. 5'7'' 165 lb and technically over weight. But I'm in the gym constantly so definitely not fat. Muscle weighs more then fat!

I would also love to know the recipe. Such a great beer (in my opinion). Mine would be a Sam Adams Boston Ale though haha

    Carbonation Reality Check

I've had yeast that will carb a bottle of beer to a tasty amount in about 24 hours and be done within a few days and it was great! Maybe just a fast yeast. Fermented clean and did so in about 5 days tops at 70 degrees. Maybe I'm just talking crazy.

    I brewed today!

Brewed a Porter today! First time I got roughly 80% efficiency! Its pretty exciting! Last porter I made I got about 35% so its much better. Og is 1.068. Og of the first was 1.044...not great. Its going down the drain.

    New to Brewing

Also it will help to brew smaller all grain batches first for all grain. I'm about to pour out a 5 gallon batch of porter that didn't turn out well at all. It will save you money when a batch doesn't work out so well. I'm glad I stopped doing 5 gallon batches. Plus it allows you to buy...

    Beer for Christmas

I did some research and based on the description it sounded like a good pick! My lhbs is just opening so it has limited product. I can't wait to see it grow. I'll certainly support it! I'm using Muntons active brewing yeast. I used it on my last brew and it was the best tasting stuff I've had so...

    Beer for Christmas

Yeah I lik e experimenting with different beers but its always good to have a "plain" beer too. I haven't brewed many batches anyway so I need to practice with basics. I'd love to start brewing with single grains and taste the differences.

    Lets catch some fish

We have a lake where I live and its next to a power plant and its used to cool their equipment and people joke about never eating fish out of there. I caught a 10'' Talapia and it was still alive in a plastic bag for 4 hours! It was unreal! My favorite is Blue Gill. Caught a 10'' one while...

    Beer for Christmas

So id like to brew beer for a few family members for Christmas and I already have one picked out but need two more. With a small amount of time, anybody have any suggestions on what I should do? The first is a dunkelweizen. I'd like them to be a variety, so maybe an IPA and an American ale? Any...
