    Convince Me to stay

Ive got twelve days left on my BF account, and I am contemplating my next move. I know a year is only 10 bucks, so it not a money thing, and I'm not sure what it is exactly that gives me pause, only that I'm not convinced. I started coming to this site for the blog, before all the recent...

    Future of the blog

This is not exactly a feature request, but an inquiry as to the future of the Blog portion of Brewers Friend. Although towards the end of Larry's involvement, a lot of the entries were announcements and updates to the software. Actual articles on specific brewing subject matter became less...

    Early morning brewing

I was just wondering, as I rolled out of bed this morning and put the heat to my strike water at 4:30 am, if anyone else was a morning brewer. DIY Bottle Opener

I turned up a new bottle opener this weekend. The nail head was ground down to reduce the chance of snagging in my pocket. The magnet works great reducing the need to bend over to pick up an errant cap.

    Ham Glaze Beer

We made a ham for the holidays and it came with a sugar spice packet for glazing. We don't like glazed ham and as SWMBO was about to toss it, I suddenly thought "I could ferment that". So I have a 8 oz packet with the ingredients listed as: Brown Sugar, sugar, spices, and honey powder...

    (DONE) Hydrometer calibration default

Larry, I was wondering if there was a way to set a default value in the hydrometer temp correction calculator. My hydrometer is calibrated to 60 F, and every time I correct for temp, I have to type in the calibration number. I know this is a minor thing, and it would probably be easier to just...

    Introduction

Greetings to all. I have been brewing for over 20 years but I am a newbie to forums. I started brewing with Charley's book, and "Kit and a Kilo" ingredients. I didn't know hops were green until the 1990's. I could explain the benefits of a beta-glucan rest, but I am not sure how to reply to a...
