Planning tomorrow’s brew day. Probably a 10 Plato Lager since i want something low ABV for the summer to hold me over till the Festbier and Märzens I’ll be brewing for fall.
Mixing Pilsner and Maris otter. I have more Maris otter than I thought and now as much Pilsner. I’ll hop it 18-20 ibu.
When I had, it seems like I looked up and tried to find more information. Don’t remember if I ever did. Be nice to research that it was an awesome beer. It reminded me of a lower alcohol Oktoberfest type that was a little bit more balanced.
10 pounds of:
Barke pils, Barke Munich and Gambrinus ESB malt (got a good deal)
WLP860 Munich lager yeast
With what I have on hand I should be good for the rest of 2025.
I’ve brewed Bitters and Milds with it. I used 100% with a mix of British hops and it turned out great. In the mild it was less obvious I didn’t use marris otter. I’ve made bitters using this malt and 5-8% crystal and liked that too.

I love Chevalier Used it for probably 5 brews or so. Maris otter on steroids for sure. Perfect by itself as it adds some sweetness a crystal malt might.
