Basic IPA

Hello,

so my belgian styles haven't been a big succes so I wanted to try something different. I composed this recipe: 2 hops, extract with mini mash.

First IPA so it would be nice to have some feedback, thanks in advance. I'm looking for a medium hoppy clean slightly orangy/ambery IPA with a refreshing aroma and taste.

These are just the styles I like. But, i know you are right... Are you suggesting pale ale with the same method or even without steeping grains or mini mahs

The hoppage is down a bit for an IPA so I guess as you've got it it will come out simillar to pale ale.

I've not herd of that bittering hop barbe rouge
I'd drop the ABv down to 5-5.5 that's just me though.

You can do pale ale without either, although I find it better with some mid-range Crystal malt, say some C60. It steeps just fine. Makes a great palette for hops, too.
