Did a pretty simple recipe for my 1st one, "Dirty Boh 2.0" https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/851265/dirty-boh-v2/299668 Efficiency was better than I expected, punching the numbers into the calculator I came up with 80%, I was shooting for 75 and hoping to get at least 70...guess it's going to be a bit higher ABV than I had originally planned.

I'll wait and see how it tastes, it's all a learning process at this point anyway. I will say that the Viking Pilsner Malt smelled wonderful in the mash tun. Ordered another 40 pounds of it.

Congrats and welcome to your new obsession. You can look at these forums as kind of an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting but for beer brewing!

Now it is time for patience, let er ride for a couple weeks, just forget it's there, let them little Dickens do their work!

Congrats! You are now part of the addiction that the rest of us share. Time to work on the next one!

Good luck finding the time to do that once the brewing bug bites.
