So I'm working on a Belgian IPA similar to Hommel Ale. From doing research it looks like they use Brewer's Gold and Challenger for Bittering. They use Hallertau and Saphir for aroma. IBU's should be around 40ish. This is where I don't know how to go about using hops. What I have now is 0.5 oz Brewer's Gold and 0.5 oz Challenger at 60 minutes for 34IBU's. 15 minute addition of 1oz Hallertau for 7.7IBU's and 1oz of Saphir at 1 minute for a total of 42 IBU's

I wouldn't change a thing, looks good to me. one thing to note that the abv is based on those brands of grain and if using the Belgian Pilsner you may need to mash longer to get that high of abv with BIB unless you recirculate that is with a pump

Thanks for the reply.

I have not had any problems with pilsner malt in the past. I will actually brew a 2 gallon test batch first. My pot fits in the oven so it will not be too hard to mash longer.
