Drinking in Ireland

Thanks for the great pics Bob. What a fantastic trip! Hope to do it some day.

Foggy and rainy today, so doing s pub crawl. Will likely be crawling back home after supper. Finally found some awesome beers. Wish you all were here to share the fun.

Couple of nice beers today while drinking the day away. Traveling to Do Limerick tomorrow, so calling it a night early.

The Galway Hooked appears to be a golden ale with lots of what I perceive to be EKG. Nicely balanced just on the holly side. They also brew a stout that I haven't tried yet.

Heading out to Co Limerick this morning. Hoping to find a few craft beers there. The few we've found so far. Have been great, but scarce. The last stop before heading back to Dublin will be in Tralee Co Kerry where my wife's nephew lives. Talked to him yesterday and he assured me that he had collected some nice beers.

Here"a a pic of the mini towns house we stayed in while visiting Donegal and some of the fishing fleet in Killybegs.

Nephew brought in more that we will be sampling later today. It appears the next 3 days will be spent eating, drinking and swapping lies with a bunch of the wife's relatives. Will have some great pics and memories if we survive :)

Windy and wet again today. Got lots of great landscape pics, but need to do some editing due r poor lighting. Will post when we get home. Did visit. A bar in Dingle Co Kerry and had a nice IPA. More family arriving tomorrow and lots of activities planned for remainder of the trip so may not post again until we get by home.

This pic has a great story. The remains of this castle can be seen from where we stayed in Fedamore Co Limerick. The cow wanderd onto the stone stairs inside. Unable to turn and go back down, it continued until it reached the top. After some time it apparently became weak from lack of food and water, it eventually fell to its death.

Well....that's kinda morbid :D
Love your "travelogues", Bob. I have only been to the british isles a couple of times, but your pics soooo make me want to go back asap!
Though this pic does remind me of my very first visit, and very first experience with left-hand drive , past the lochs in scotland on the way to the isle of skye.

I see why they say it rains alot over there looks pretty cold and rugged landscape and beautiful all at once.
Can always tell the tourist in Aus standing in the scorching sun soaking up its Rays getting sunburnt whilst us Aussies stare at them from the shade thinking their bloody mad havnt they ever seen the sun!
