Hello all. I am new to this site and I can say this place offers more amazing tools than anywhere else.

I had a question about the recipe calculator. Does anyone know how to change the FG?

based on my inputs its reading out at a FG of 1.013 and I am shooting for a 1.010 FG

I am new to brewing and any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

The application is approximating FG based on the fermentables and yeast that you've entered into your recipe.
Based on the amounts of grains, extracts and other fermentables, as well as your efficiency, and the known ethanol yield characteristic of the yeast, the app calculates FG.

You would never want to manually edit FG.

Actually, just manually adjust the attenuation... ;)
PS, I don't mean to do this just to "trick" the calculator. The calculator chooses a default attenuation for the yeast you are using. The actual attenuation may be significantly different. At a difference of only .003, I would brew the beer first, and then adjust the attenuation accordingly.
