Hello fellow brewers!

I brew mostly all grain Maxi BIAB style, mainly because I have time but not much cash. I am just getting back into brewing after a four year break and I'm really enjoying being back in the saddle.

I'm still very much a beginner, I went pretty quickly from kits to extract to grain and I'm still learning about what I like in a beer.

I have two brews currently under way, an experimental "use up dregs" batch with some very old malt. Seems to be behaving itself and is in the barrel hopefully carbonating itself.

Second is a hunt for a biscuity malty beer with tasty hops but not too much bitterness. This one has been a week in the fv and I dry hopped it yesterday. Planning a third along similar lines

I'll be sure and share the recipes if they work out well. :)

Yeah, not bad.

Brewday tomorrow so getting excited :) Didn't keep records before so this site looks pretty handy.

I jumped straight into all grain/BIAB without passing the extract-phase. I know some recommend doing extract for first attempts though. Done three brews now but yet have to taste the result, however this weekend will be the first taste-day :D Good luck on your brew day!

Thanks guys, good luck with your brews okonncenterad. Tasting day is still a while off for me, brewing like crazy to get a rolling stock.

I'm new to this forum as well, so welcome from another! I'm just hoping I can get a few less "Palmer" responses here than usual. Nothing is more irritating than a bunch of people who quote debunked guidelines!

All guidelines have been debunked by somebody. If there are 22,000 members here, there are 23,000 different brewing methods.

Wow, I really hope you're not a grade school teacher, unless you live in Russia.
I'm a newbie, done 3 batches, and changed my methods slightly on all of them :D so I don't think there's a 1 to 1 relationship between brewer and method :p

Thread drift, but what's been debunked for Palmer?
