Hi all,
I'm having issues with my Ispindel incorrectley registering gravity.

I think it's likely to do with the polynomial formula buit I'm not sure.

I went through the whole calibration process (twice) but I'm thinking the way I've entered the fomula into the Ispindel may be incorrect, I've entered it with and without spaces but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

The formula I'm useing is this: 0.8664121875066527 + 0.009562713003442422 *tilt-0.00018408281752418392 *tilt*tilt + 0.0000013556331354515971 *tilt*tilt*tilt

I've tried with and without spaces to no avail.

For my current batch of beer that I pitched yesterday the tilt reported to BF correlates with what I would expect the SG to be recorded as (1.056) so that looks OK to me.

Hopefully the following link is accessable but this is my current brew session with the SG being reported at a fairly constant 0.873: https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/brewsession/361878

Any help much appreacited!

Hi Craig,

First off I want to make sure you are using the correct URL. There is one for Plato and one for Gravity. The gravity URL ends with _sg and is https://log.brewersfriend.com/ispindel_sg/[API KEY]

As for the calibration, I would refer you to this page which has a calibration tool also.

Did you have any luck? I am having the exact same issue. I assume its because the duplicate *tilts but im not sure what it should look like.
Edtit: I think the answer is there is the 100 character limit. Degree 3 is too lng need to use degree 2.
