Before Brewer's Friend, I had everything in a excel sheet.
One of the main reasons I build the sheet was to link inventory and recipes. A recipe would turn red when I don't have enough material on stock. Going into the recipe, it would tell me what ingredient is insufficient, and how many grams I'm short.
Would be really nice to have such a feature in BF. Go to your recipes and immediate see what can and what can't be brewed based on inventory. When going to the recipe and click on shopping list, then only add ingredients (and amounts) based on current inventory.
