Hello all.
I'm looking to brew an easy-drinking Juicy Pale Ale. Something that is lower in ABV and can be enjoyed by those that are familiar with and not familiar with good beer.
I threw this together...what do you think? I'm considering trying to bring the ABV up to 5.5ish. Not enough hops?
This is an extract recipe, 6.5 gallon pre-boil with an estimated 5 gallons into fermenter.
IBU: 33.4
SRM: 7.2
ABV: 5
Grain
8 oz. Flaked Oats (Steeped)
4 oz. Honey Malt (Steeped)
2 oz. Carapils (Steeped)
3 lbs. Light DME
3 lbs. Light DME (Late @ 20 min.)
Hops
.5 oz. Citra @ 60
.5 oz. Citra @ 15
1 oz. Citra @ 0
1 oz. Samba @ 0
1 oz. Samba, DH for 3 days
Yeast
2 packs of Coastal Haze Ale Yeast (WLP067)
