Hey guys!

First off, you have all been super helpful with all the problems that stem up for new brewers, so thank you. With my first beer kegged and delicious, I want to try to make a lower gravity version of one of my favorite beers, hazy little thing. I've checked the sierra nevada website, and put together my best guess at a recipe that will be similar, just a little lighter. Looking for any and all critiques (sorry it is extract, I haven't upgraded my equipment to all grain yet!). I'll be using filtered water with campden tablets, and will be using either us04 or us05.

Thanks guys!

My opinion, and this is just me:
No where near enough hops. In my low ABV Hazy (4.3%) I use 14 ounces (400+ grams) per 5 gallons. One oz at 30 minutes (30 minute boil), 5oz whirlpool @180, 4oz dry @ high krausen, 4oz dry 1 day before cold crashing.

I've been going back and worth about when I should add the majority of my hops. Is it actually more flavorful adding them after the boil? I was definitely going to dry hop more.

Definitely agree about not enough hops. I do a similar "lighter" hazy PA and add nearly all the hops at flame out and dry hopping. I do a 45 minute boil since I don't want much bitterness. I use about 200~ grams of hops and am really happy with the result.

Here's my recipe if you want to see my hop additions: https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/964209/voss-juicy-spring-pale-ale

This is good to know. I might hang onto this for when I move to biab. How do you like the voss? I had some dried packets coming and was considering using it for this batch.

I love the VOSS, that is what I use for my Hazys now, last one was grain to glass in 8 days

100% agree with Craigerrr there. Voss is absolutely perfect for juicy IPAS no matter the ABV. The orange citrus flavors you get are fantastic.
