Good afternoon all! Living in Birmingham Alabama at this time, although I'd rather be in the British Virgin Islands, my old home away from home!

I've dabbled with brewing off and on for many year's however so busy during those times that i never read much about it! Yeah I've done a few uhhhhh bad tasting batches, not due to infections either, but lack of knowledge! Never tossed a batch out though, mixing with a good strong beer made the bad tolerable, like when at a party with only bud lite, just consume lots of chips and dip, waste not want not!

I do extracts with 30 minute grain steeps in 1 gallon water, and still trying to figure out how to estimate my hops ibu in 1 gallon boils at additional 30-35 minute.

Here is my the method I'm working on:

    1. I do 2.5 gal batches, ... first steeping grains in one gallon water, remove grain bag.

*2. Into this thin wort i dissolve one cup dme, bring to boiling add bittering hops for 30 minutes, aroma 5 minutes.

    3. Remove from heat, stir in LME and other fermintables, bring back to about 170 f, remove from heat cover with lid for 15 minutes to pasteurize wort. (NOT going to boil this late addition!)

4, cool, then into fermenter, top off to 2.5 gallons, provide some aeration stone time, pitch yeast.

Now - in the recipe calculator, if i enter 2.5 gal for batch size, (fermenter) 1 gallon for boil size (pre) Will it calculate my hop ibu and abv properly? I did several recipes and they just don't look correct to me, i don't know!?

Example, does this look correct? Or is calculator acting buggy? Several times it has shown same stats as:
    ABV. 4.88, 9.84, 16.74
    IBU. 4.98, 49.7, 77.5
