Thanks Mike, the checklist has been updated with a reminder to pre-heat the mash tun. I forgot that step because I know the quirks of my equipment and shot for +2 degrees on the strike temperature.

First step of sparge and boil updated to include ‘Vorlauf’ step. Vorlauf is simply draining the mash tun until it runs clear and pouring what you got back into the mash tun. It is usually a few pints worth.
